At Unionville Pediatrics (U Peds), your child’s health and safety are always our top priorities. That’s why we’re proud to introduce a new way to care for our patients: separate offices for well and sick visits.

Our Acute Care Center is designed specifically for children who are feeling unwell. Whether your child is experiencing a fever, cough, sore throat, or other symptoms of illness, they’ll now be seen at a location built to safely and efficiently handle acute concerns.

We’ve long envisioned a model where healthy children aren’t exposed to potentially contagious illnesses at routine visits. The onset of COVID-19 helped accelerate this vision into reality.

Now, with the Acute Care Center we can:

• Reduce the risk of illness transmission in our waiting rooms

• Provide a safer, more comfortable experience for every patient

• Ensure timely, focused care for both well and unwell children

The Acute Care Center offers focused care for:

• Sick visits

• COVID-19 testing (rapid and lab-based)

• Strep and flu testing

• Same-day acute care appointments

• After hours and weekend appointments

Note: Suturing and x-rays will continue to be referred to trusted local providers.

Scheduling Your Visit

All appointments—whether for well care or sick care—will be scheduled through our main office line. Based on your child’s symptoms, our staff will guide you to the correct location. Call (860) 673-6124 to schedule.

We are accepting new patients and welcome referrals for acute visits at the ACC.
